Resolution
Disable Large Receive Offload (LRO) and/or General Receive Offload (GRO).
This can be done during playback with the following commands:
# ethtool -e ethX# ethtool -K ethX lro disabled# ethtool -K ethX disable
You can save these settings across reboots by simply writing /sbin/ifup-local as described here.
Note. It is not correct to enable LRO after using IP forwarding and/or bridging.
